Godwick Hall is full of sumptuous living spaces. A drawing room with bold colours, tailor-made sofas and an open fire is just the place to kick off your shoes and relax with drink in hand.

The large games room provides some fun and a space where you can shoot some snooker, take each other on at table football, throw some arrows or just dig out the board games.

Sleeping 14, Godwick Hall’s seven hotel-style bedrooms offer luxurious charm, melding traditional features with modern touches. Add two z-beds for children and there’s enough room for a party of 16.

Our staff can help you plan an unforgettable stay. Godwick Hall is ideal for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, celebrations, corporate events or just a family get-together. With the flexibility of self-catering, we also work closely with an outstanding list of caterers and private chefs so you can be as hands on or as hands off as you like. Godwick is pleased to launch its latest self-catering property The Old Stables. Set in the grounds of the magnificent 19th century Godwick Hall, The Old Stables is a little slice of rural magic. The 19th century stable block has been refurbished and modernised to make it a stunning small holiday bolthole on the Godwick estate.

This old Stables is the latest collaboration of Godwick Hall owner James Garner and local interior designer Tracey Grint of Moochi Modo Interiors and it has produced breathtaking results, resulting in an interior that combines a light and airy feel with a pared-back Skandi style that exudes space and calm. Both the kitchen/diner and the master bedroom have French doors that can be flung open to a large south-facing walled garden complete with its own HaHa that affords uninterrupted views across ancient parkland.

Both sets of French doors open onto the south and west facing patio and large garden giving that close to nature feeling that Godwick is so in tune with.

Godwick is 15 miles from Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham, so a short drive to the beautiful beaches of north Norfolk and is a good base for exploring the coast but also within reach of the fine city of Norwich. Kings Lynn with its good train links to Cambridge and London is just 17 miles away.

Meet the owner

James Garner

Affable and ameniable fellow, who now lives in Norfolk after years working as a journalist in London. Now owns and runs an accommodation business and wedding venue at Godwick Hall. Married with three children. Loves the countryside, sport and travelling. Godwick Hall is now in its 10th year and has grown from sleeping 8 adults in 2013 to 30 adults now.
