Delightful country cottage just for two

All newly renovated in 2020, this very pretty cottage has the most beautiful interior; the surroundings are quiet and peaceful and it is the perfect place for a wonderfully relaxing holiday. Everything is included in the price; central heating, a large basket of logs, electricity, luxurious bed linen including sumptuous towels and luxury toiletries.

The lounge has a real log fire, beamed ceiling, windows overlooking the garden, gorgeous velvety two seater sofa a nd armchair, occasional tables and lamps, smart television, dining table and bookcase with booksand games. The shower room is stunning, with a walk-in shower and lovely slate tiles. The beautifully furnished bedroom has an amazing Vi-Spring ‘Sublime’ king-size bed to ensure a blissful night’s sleep and pretty views of the garden. The kitchen is a pleasure to use and is well equipped with Bosch dishwasher, Bosch electric fan oven, Neff induction hob, microwave oven, larder fridge, electric toaster, etc, pretty china and a good selection of cutlery and cookware. An extension to the kitchen has a washer/dryer and freezer.

A small terrace overlooking the woodland stream is perfect for morning coffee and ‘al fresco’ meals and the private garden surrounding the cottage is lovely, with its natural waterfall and interesting country garden plants. There are seats to sit in the sun and seats to sit in the shade – all with lovely views.

A ten minute walk to the nearby river is an idyllic way to spend an afternoon, perhaps paddling in the quiet pools and enjoying a picnic whilst watching out for the kingfishers. Further afield into the Lake District, a 30 minute drive takes you to Windermere or Ullswater to explore the nearest lakes. Or, take a drive in the other direction to explore the pretty dales villages of Dent and Hawes. Then return to the wonderful tranquillity surrounding Bluebell Cottage; the best of both worlds!

Restoring Goodies Farmhouse has been immense pleasure and fun. Now, as a trained landscape designer, I am gradually working on the acre of garden.
