Frome Town Centre

Quiet Rural base to explore North Somerset

The cottages are cosily furnished and all have enclosed gardens for your dogs. Plus a further 2 acres to exercise the dogs or children, surrounded by farmland and the Loxton Valley. Straight from the house the Mendips offer a gentle climb to Crook Peak which offers 360 views across to South Wales, the North Devon Coast, Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Flats.

After many years renting holiday cottages the Owners have furnished each cottage to the standards that they would expect themselves.

Our guests favourite haunts (apart from the many good pub/restaurants nearby), are: -

Wells - England's smallest city with a Cathedral and the Bishops Palace, Georgian (and Roman).

Bath with shops, crescents, museums and the famous Pulteney Bridge.

Bristol offers its Zoo, the SS Great Britain and the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Glastonbury - famous for its Tor and Festival, also has many arts and crafts in the shopping area, and Street with Clarks Shopping Village is just a mile or two further on.

Many National Trust sites are in the area. Tynesfield has been much enjoyed by previous guests, and for Wolf Hall fans, two of the National Trust locations used for filming are nearby.

Miles of walks and cycle trails are close, as are Cheddar and Blagdon lakes for fishing lovers.

Or just curl up around the log fires (in 4 of the cottages), and enjoy a pleasant night in.

Meet the owner

Ruth & Mike Spalding

Ruth and Mike took over Home Farm in 2014 and set about a full renovation of the cottages in 2015. They spent many years renting cottages and have used these good and bad experiences to model Home Farm - and also created their own little 'Dog Heaven' location. They love living in North Somerset and hope you will enjoy the area too!
