Award-winning luxury cottages in Cheshire

Kerridge End Holiday Cottages are award-winning luxury holiday cottages, located in the grounds of a Grade II listed former gentleman's residence, in the conservation area of Rainow village in Cheshire's Peak District.

The cottages are within a stone's throw of the Gritstone Trail, where white-spotted deer are seen to wander, and views evoke memories of Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy. Here you can also discover the beauty of the Peak District National Park, stumbling upon endangered wildlife concealed from the rest of the world.

The beautiful Peak Park and several pretty villages, with fine pubs, shops and restaurants, are on the doorstep. The historic city of Chester, Cheshire’s ‘magnificent seven’ National Trust properties and the market towns of Macclesfield, Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Leek are all within easy driving distance of the cottages.

Trains run from Macclesfield, on the mainline from London, for the short journey to Manchester with its many galleries, museums and theatres. Manchester International Airport is less than half an hour’s drive away.

Meet the owner

Lyn or Ivor Williams

Ivor and I and our two sons, Graham and Neil moved to Kerridge End House about 26 years ago. We found our home by accident as my map reading skills as a navigator were poor! We all loved the area and our house was an ideal renovation project. About ten years ago, we decided to convert the buildings around our courtyard into holiday cottages. During the extensive renovation work to create our three holiday cottages, we have benefited extensively from the knowledge gained about local materials and renovation techniques by working with local craftsmen. We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of Cheshire’s Peak District. When we are not busy preparing the cottages for our guests, we like to potter in the gardens so are always available for a chat or to offer advice on places to visit or recommend somewhere to eat.
