Longlands Farm is nestled in a 17 acre secret valley on the border of Exmoor National Park and situated within the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are few sites that can rival our stunning location and incredible views, which is why Longlands Devon is a multi award winning holiday complex.
Longlands Devon consists of beautifully landscaped grounds, including a private lake for wild swimming and rowing, a private woodland with streamside walks, a cedar wood hot tub positioned on its own private deck overlooking the lake, an amenity field for lawn games and a yoga circle.
Long Barn (Sleeps 4) - located within the original Longlands Farm courtyard, this tastefully converted two bedroom holiday barn sprawls across one level.
The views are the first thing you will notice when you start to explore the Long Barn, they are truly spectacular, with beautiful ancient woodland and pastures where both sheep graze and a herd of Devon Red Deer roam.
For making the most of your stay we recommend time spent on the beautiful decked balcony. Drink in the abundant views of pretty wildflowers across to Exmor National Park, with a glimpse of the sea sparkling in the distance at sunset.
The open plan kitchen / dining / sitting room features a vaulted ceiling, underfloor heating and a sumptuous log burner for those colder nights. The kitchen features a granite worktop, a two ring induction hob, butler sink, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee machine (capsules supplied), kettle, toaster, Smart TV and WiFi.
The king-size master bedroom benefits from spectacular views across the hills and landscape, and this luxurious room has an en-suite bathroom.
The second bedroom is a bright and light twin bedroom, also benefiting from remarkable views.
The family bathroom has a bath, basin and heated towel rail.
Cedar Wood Hot Tub - Immerse yourself in the warm waters of our 6 persons hot tub and enjoy the spectacular views across the lake, through the valley and down to the sea and the setting sun. The hot tub is positioned on its own private terrace, in the bank above the lake. It also has a changing room and outdoor cold shower.
Each reservation benefits from a complimentary one hour session during your stay. Message the host for session times (highly recommend booking the sunset hour in advance, it's a very popular experience).
As the hot tub is not a Jacuzzi, the bubbles to enjoy are those in your sparkling wine. The warm water of the hot tub is calm, clear and quiet. Just perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
Wild Swimming in the Lake - Be sure to bring your swimming costume or wetsuit and hop in the lake for a wild swim. The lake can also be used for boating and there is a skiff named "Little Bird". She can hold one Adult and one Child. Brush up on your rowing skills or just bob around looking at wildlife. Life jackets of varying sizes are provided.
Wander Through The Woods - There are stream walks and nature trails in the woods. The streamside and woodland walks are short and sheltered so are excellent even on both sunny or rainy days.
