Lower Wood Farm Country Cottages comprises of eight beautifully furnished and immaculately presented self-catering family holiday cottages in the Norfolk countryside - though not so 'country' as you can be at the seaside within minutes of leaving the farm. An excellent choice for young families and family groups.

In the country, near the sea, we offer you the best of two worlds. Surrounded by open countryside we are peacefully situated in three acres of grounds bordering the Broads National Park. The Norfolk coast is just two miles away with the exceptional sandy beach of Winterton on Sea, and an easy drive to many coastal resorts, Norfolk Broads and top tourist attractions.

The properties are stylish, comfy and equipped to an exceptionally high standard. Guests enjoy the shared use of the gardens and facilities with views across open farmland and broadland marshes.

Our indoor heated swimming pool is maintained at a very comfortable 31 degrees centigrade ensuring all year round tropical ambiance.

Three of our cottages Russet, Bramley & Pipkin are all single-storey in a sunny courtyard setting and retain the old beams and vaulted ceilings of the original farm buildings.

Meet the owner

Jill Nicholls

Hello, I am Jill Nicholls, the on site owner at Lower Wood Farm where I live with Rory and our two dogs Ronnie and Woody. We are here to welcome you on arrival and to be of assistance during your stay. I was born in Norfolk and have lived here all my life. I still love to drive along the Norfolk coast stopping off to walk the dogs at our favourite beaches. We also walk and explore the Norfolk broad’s area and are able to help you plan your days out. As I enjoy gardening, looking after the gardens at LW Farm is no hardship and with the help of Stan the gardener, we endeavour to keep all neat and tidy. Rory takes his little red Massey Ferguson tractor and topper and cuts the bridleways and footpaths leading from the farm ensuring that our guests can enjoy the walks through the marshes.
