About & Contact

Romantic shepherds hut with outstanding views

This beautifully hand-crafted Shepherd’s Hut is the perfect romantic getaway. Lie back and relax in your own wood-fired hot tub and gaze at the view with a glass of wine.

Or stay in bed and listen to the birdsong while you sip your morning tea or coffee. The Shepherd’s hut is totally private and has a wonderful view from every window. Deer, foxes, badgers, rabbits, kites and buzzards are regular visitors. There are miles of walks straight from the door over Bredon Hill with several pubs on the way all serving food. There is an antique refurbished World War II trailer with a giant comfy bean bag where you can stargaze at night or sunbathe in the day. We are chuffed to have been awarded a Gold Award by VisitEngland

Cosy Inside: this handcrafted Shepherd’s Hut has been designed and built by our son Will, a local craftsman, and sleeps two guests in a double bed with a high-quality Hypnos mattress – super comfy! We have added high quality White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen and fluffy towels. There is a fully equipped kitchen area with a 2-ring gas hob and oven, fridge and USB port to charge your phone. The dining area has a pull out beautiful river table and benches with storage underneath. To keep you warm in the winter there is a woodburning stove. The hut has its own bathroom with shower, washbasin and flushing toilet. Wood-fired hot tub. Complimentary shower gel and hand wash. Woodburning stove. 240v sockets – solar powered. WiFi and 4G signal. Tea towel, oven cloth and hand towel. Tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper. Welcome pack – milk, bread, eggs and biscuits. The hut is now solar powered.

Outside: a wood-fired hot tub has been carefully positioned so you can sink into the warm water and enjoy the magnificent view. There is a gas barbecue to try out your cooking skills, a firepit and deckchairs for relaxing. An antique refurbished World War II trailer with a giant comfy bean bag is a little way up the hill above the shepherd’s hut. Here you can stargaze at night or sunbathe in the day with a glass of wine or two! There are miles of glorious walks straight from the door with several pubs on the way serving food. It is a walkers and cyclists paradise.

Little extras: we have added bath robes and flip flops so you can run to the hot tub and complimentary shower gel and hand wash for the bathroom. A fresh loaf of bread, milk and eggs will be waiting for you when you arrive.

At a glance: double bed, White Company linen and bath towels, bath robes and flip flops. Dining table, good storage, Belfast sink, two ring gas hob and oven, fridge. Meet the owner

Will Smith

As a family we renovated a 17C Grade II listed farmhouse (see separate listing), stables and threshing barn. Our eldest son, Charlie, who is a builder carefully completed the renovations. In the main threshing barn, we found an old hay wagon. This has now been used as the base for our Shepherd’s Hut as it was exactly the right size. Our younger son, Will, cleaned and renovated the chassis and built a bespoke shepherd’s hut on top of it. He made the oak windows and door and designed and made the beautiful blue resin tables. Will now manages the bookings and will look after you when you come to stay!!
