Romantic Cotswold hideaway with an amazing view

If you are looking to relax and recharge your batteries you will love this unique and romantic escape with its outstanding view. The newly converted Cart Shed is our high specification get-away (from it all ) for two. The quickest look at our photos will show you an abundance of Cotswold Limestone and oak beams in a tasteful modern setting. When it's chilly, warm yourselves beside the superb Clearview Stove and in summer, sit outside and drink in the amazing view. We are dog friendly.

The location is a paradise for cyclists, runners and, of course, walkers. There are miles of glorious walks with wonderful views straight from the house with dog friendly pubs along the way. Unwind in nature, treat yourself to a pint and lunch, and then come back and relax with a glass of wine - Bliss! For the less active there is a good pub called The Star in Ashton under hill, a short walk away. The pretty Cotswold villages of Broadway, Chipping Campden and many more are close by.

The kitchen/sitting room with French windows overlooking an open paddock has a breathtaking view. A loaf sofa and armchair provide comfortable seating to soak in the view or watch the 43" smart TV. In the winter, light the Clearview woodburner and relax with a glass of wine. The up-market kitchen with its quartz worktop has a Neff cooker, dishwasher, washer/drier and full-size fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a walk in shower. Nobleisle toiletries are provided. No expense has been spared in the bedroom. There is a zip and link super king bed with a Hypnos mattress and beautiful white company linen and towels. As it is all on one level, it is very suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Babies are very welcome - a travel cot is available on request. There is underfloor heating throughout.

At a glance: Loaf sofa, Armchair, Dining table and chairs, Neff Cooker, Bosch dishwasher, Leibherr fridge/freezer, Hotpoint washer/drier, Microwave Toaster and kettle, 43" Smart TV, Walk in shower, WC and basin, Zip and link Super king bed, Hypnos mattress, White co linen and towels, Chest of drawers, Open wardrobe Under floor heating, Good WiFi signal Outside - Bistro table and chairs, Hanging cocoon chair for two, Weber charcoal barbecue

Meet the owner

Liz Smith

Our family purchased Manor Farm and its courtyard 5 years ago. My husband and I live in Ashton under hill which is another village at the foot of Bredon Hill. Our eldest son, Charlie, who has a building company painstakingly undertook the renovation of the Manor Farm. Because it had never been modernised it retained many original features. Two of the inglenook fireplaces had been filled in and we had the exciting task of uncovering them only to find a second bread oven! Charlie insisted on lifting all the flagstones, taking them out and putting underfloor heating underneath. Amazingly they all went back intact! So, it has been a house of many surprises. In the main threshing barn, we found an old hay wagon. This has now been used as the base for our Shepherd’s Hut. It was exactly the right size. Our younger son, Will, cleaned and renovated the chassis and built a bespoke shepherd’s hut on top of it. He made the oak windows and door and designed and made the beautiful blue resin tables. We love that our family has been able to put our hearts and souls into Manor Farm and the shepherd’s hut and are so pleased to share both with you. Liz and Jamie Smith
