About & Contact

Escape, relax, unwind and recharge

The Barn is a stunning timber framed grade two listed 15th century building with plenty of oak beams. Step through the entrance hall and into the extremely well equipped kitchen (electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and mini freezer). The comfortable and inviting living room has a flat screen TV and side loading DVD, as well as a spacious dining area with a beautifully handmade iron legged table and matching chairs, seating 6 very comfortably.

On the ground floor is the newly refurbished master bedroom with super king-size bed and en suite bathroom. This has a separate shower with excellent pressure as well as a deep bath, wc and sink.

There are two staircases, one leading to a twin bedded room and the other to a standard double bedroom with bathroom opposite (bath, wc and sink). All beds are made up with Egyptian cotton sheets, soft towels and hair dryers are provided in each bedroom. Both bathrooms are supplied with cotton wool and luxury toiletries. There is a small library of films to watch during your stay as well as a good choice of books and games.

We also have a large shared laundry room between the 3 cottages which you can use free of charge at any time with extra fridge and freezer space if needed. The Barn has it's own private patio with table and chairs for 6 which catches the sun for most of the day as well as plenty of space on the shared patio area. Free WiFi is available in the cottage.

Meet the owner

Samantha Gray

My name is Samantha Gray. I've been living at Middle Farm running the cottages and smallholding for over a decade. Recently joined by my partner Chris we thoroughly enjoy working 'the good life' with pigs, chickens, sheep, veg and two children it is a privilege to share this lifestyle choice with visiting guests. While growing and nurturing enough food to feed the family we are very passionate about what we do and hope, always, that our guests enjoy staying at Middle Farm and experiencing rural life with us in the Shropshire Hills.
