Luxury coastal cottages in Northumberland

Newton Cottages are situated just 100 metres from the beach in the lovely village of Newton by the Sea, a beautiful seaside village in Northumberland.

These luxury holiday cottages offer 5* comforts in relaxing surroundings, complete with all the modern facilities required for a perfect holiday, including real fires to welcome you home after a hard day's exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline.

Each cottage has a dining area and kitchen fitted with quality appliances, including a fridge/freezer, washer/drier, dishwasher and a microwave oven. Additionally, each cottage has a large master double bedroom with an en suite shower room and south-facing balcony, a twin second bedroom, and the third bedroom with full-size bunk beds. The cottages each have a family bathroom and additional separate shower rooms with heated floors, as well as their own lawned garden with a patio, barbecue and lovely views. We're also very child-friendly, and provide cots, highchairs and stair gates.

The Ship Inn, listed in the Good Pub Guide, serves excellent evening meals and lovely simple fresh lunches and is a two-minute walk from the cottages. They brew their own superb beer in a microbrewery behind the pub.

Embleton Bay lies around the corner to the south, and beyond that is the pretty little fishing village of Craster. Beadnell Bay is round Newton Point to the north, and beyond that is Seahouses and Bamburgh. Newton is a stunning location from which to explore this wonderful coastline on foot or by car.

For the comfort of all of our guests, neither smoking nor pets are permitted in either property. Prices and availability for each property can be viewed online, and you can always book online or call us up for assistance.

Meet the owner

Stephen Sharp

I live in mid-Northumberland near Morpeth and built these cottages for family use ... but the family grew up and moved away! I am a sailor and have had many happy holidays at Newton, dingy sailing and attempting to windsurf! Newton has strong associations for my wider family and I hope you get as much pleasure from holidaying here as I do. Newton Haven and The Ship Inn have given me a massive amount of fun over the years.
