About & Contact

Luxury holiday cottage in Northumberland

If your idea of a holiday is being within walking distance of a beach, then Boatman's Cottage is the cottage for you.

Situated just 100 metres from the beach in the lovely village of Newton by the Sea, a beautiful seaside village in Northumberland. This luxury holiday cottage offers 5* comforts in relaxing surroundings, complete with all the modern facilities required for a perfect holiday, including a real fire to welcome you home after a hard day's exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline.

Boatman’s Cottage has a dining area and kitchen fitted with quality appliances, including a fridge/freezer, washer/drier, dishwasher and a microwave oven. A large master double bedroom with an en suite shower room and south-facing balcony, a twin second bedroom, and the third bedroom with full-size bunk beds. A family bathroom and additional separate shower room with heated floors, as well as its own lawned garden with a patio, barbecue and lovely views. We're very child-friendly and can provide a cot, highchair and stair gate.

The Ship Inn, listed in the Good Pub Guide, serves excellent evening meals and lovely simple fresh lunches and is a two-minute walk from the cottage. They brew their own superb beer in a microbrewery behind the pub.

Embleton Bay lies around the corner to the south, and beyond that is the pretty little fishing village of Craster. Beadnell Bay is round Newton Point to the north, and beyond that is Seahouses and Bamburgh. Boatman's Cottage is a stunning location from which to explore this wonderful coastline on foot or by car.

For the comfort of all of our guests, neither smoking nor pets are permitted in the property.

We also offer the option to rent the house for a couple at a 20% discount. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
