About & Contact

A perfect location for exploring the countryside.

Located just outside of Arnside in Silverdale and Arnside's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Rollen Cottage has everything you need to enjoy the peace and tranquillity. With great views, off-road parking, all the equipment you need to help you relax and take in everything Cumbria has to offer.

The cottage is beautifully presented to compliment the old and new. The large kitchen is well equipped with breakfast table seating 4 and a separate utility area. The lounge is spacious with a woodburning stove and comfortable leather sofas. Watch films on the 42" Smart TV, including Sky and Netflix, or listen to music through the Bose Bluetooth speaker. A second dining table for two is also in the lounge area.

Both generous bedrooms are en suite; the master bedroom has a super king-size bed a family bathroom with a generous size shower and bath. This room can easily accommodate a cot and offers access to a balcony and second, private, patio. The second bedroom has a king-size bed and a shower room with a generous shower, basin and WC.

Ideally situated for the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Lancaster, Kendal and Morecambe. The Lake District National Park, the historic city of Lancaster and Morecambe Bay are all only a short journey away.

A great base for walking as there are many circular routes from the doorstep providing a variety for everyone, why don’t you try Arnside Knott and the Fairy steps! Further away you can easily access more demanding walks and scrambles in the Cumbrian Lakeland Fells. Visit the historic villages of Arnside and Silverdale which sit snugly on the coastline of Morecambe Bay.

There is plenty to see and do - the network of cycle routes in and around the area have become extremely popular in recent years. Catch the train over the Arnside viaduct to the Edwardian town or travel further to watch Cartmel Horse racing or Estrigg railway. If you are a Birdwatcher or Butterfly enthusiast, the area offers many species of rare butterflies and a great variety of bird species, Leighton Moss, RSPB reserve can be reached in just a short 8 minute drive.

So much to do and at the end of the day return home to the tranquillity of the cottage.
