Luxury Devon thatched cottage with private hot tub

Rose Cottage is a beautiful, 18th-century thatched cottage with original stone walls, inglenook fireplace, and charming 21st-century luxuries, offering the ultimate in sophisticated romantic breaks. Rose Cottage sleeps up to 4 guests in two bedrooms and welcomes children and babies; this is the ideal getaway for mini-moons, honeymoons, families or just because.

You will find a large open plan lounge and dining area complete with Smart TV, Blu-ray, Sonos Soundbar, woodburning stove (with wood provided free of charge), honesty bar, dining table laid out with Emma Bridgwater crockery, large leather corner sofa and a desk with iPad pro.

The master bedroom is located upstairs, with a super king dive-into bed, lots of space to store your clothes, a Sonos sound system with iPad to control it (or check which of the fabulous North Devon attractions you are going to visit that day). Next to the master bedroom is the dressing room with a beautiful William Holland copper bath. The guest bedroom is on the ground floor of the property and ideal for older relatives or children. It offers an extra comfy double bed and Sonos sound system. The bathroom with blue tile wall feature is also on the ground floor and consists of a bath with shower over, sink and WC. The kitchen has everything you could need. Cooker, hob (with extractor), dishwasher, Belfast sink, fridge freezer, coffee maker, bread maker and lots of storage space - there is also a small laundry room with a washer/dryer.

Set within the Mediterranean style secluded garden at Rose Cottage, you will discover your private six-person Beachcomber hot tub. Enjoy relaxing, sunny afternoons or great evenings star gazing! Sheltered by a wooden canopy, the hot tub is fantastic whatever the weather - set at 37/38 degrees experience all the elements year-round.

Located in the friendly village of High Bickington with a local pub but just a stone throw away tea rooms, community shop, doctors’ surgery, and church (where the bells ring weekly), but only 20/25 minutes from the north Devon coast, Exmoor and Dartmoor.

We are Kate and Bob and we own Millbrook Estate, where we have been running luxury cottages since 2005 including Rose Cottage. We bought Rose Cottage in 2011 after falling in love with it. Our first guests stayed in March 2012 and guests have been falling in love with the cottage since. We have two young children Louie, 6 and Iszi 8 and we live on site at Millbrook Estate (about 1 mile from Rose Cottage).
