A beautiful, luxury, longhouse on Dartmoor

Perched on the edge of Dartmoor, Springfield is the perfect base to explore all that Devon and the South West has to offer.

On the outskirts of the older part of Liverton Village, locally known as Old Liverton, and benefits from looking over the fields up into the local Dartmoor woodland which is a short stroll away. Benefiting from being in some of Devon’s best walking and cycling areas being only four miles from Haytor and ten miles from the delightful seaside town of Teignmouth.

All you could want from a holiday is a short distance away whether it is sea and beach, moor, history, shopping or activities.

Walk through the garden to the glazed porch that has seating areas both indoors and outside. As you walk through the inner door the stairway is in front of you with an open plan living area including sitting room and dining room.

To your left is the lounge area with a woodburner for use when required. The property is centrally heated with oil fuel but the fire makes a lovely addition especially in the winter when you could heat most of the house from this source. There is a TV and DVD player for your use along with plenty of comfortable seating.

To your right is the dining area with oak table and seating for six people. The kitchen is entered from the dining room through a stable door. There is also a separate door that opens straight onto the garden. It is stocked to cater for six people and includes a microwave, dishwasher and Magimix Nespresso Coffee Machine with pods for your use.

Carry on through the kitchen to the downstairs bathroom that includes a shower and toilet. The utility room is accessed from outside and contains the washing machine, tumble dryer, outside sink, freezer and other items for the outdoors.

Two delightful double bedrooms, a spacious dressing room with day bed and a luxury en suite bathroom are on the first floor. Recently refurbished to a very high standard the cottage retains its original features while offering stylish contemporary comfort.

The Rose Bedroom is to your left at the top of the stairs. This room can be set up as a super king-size bed or split into two 3ft single beds. The large window looks out over the garden, woodland and pond. There is a television with DVD and large, walk in cupboard for clothes and storage.

The Honeysuckle Bedroom is the en suite room and leads through to a spacious dressing room. It has a king-size bed and small television set up on a ledge. It has two large chests of drawers for storage and two windows looking over the garden and woodland.

The Wysteria dressing room has a Laura Ashley Day Bed, wardrobe and dressing table. It has a large window overlooking the garden. It should be noted that this room leads through to the main bedroom and bathroom. The bed has a trundle so that this can be set up as a single, twin or king-size double. There is a dressing table with stool and a large wardrobe in this room for storage. It should be noted that this room leads through to the main bedroom and bathroom. There are doors and locks to both rooms and we provide a pretty screen if required.

The main bathroom has a bath and separate powerful Myra shower unit. It has two large Velux windows that let in plenty of light and air.
