Relax and watch the swallows swooping from your window, woodpeckers feeding from the bird table or go on an invigorating walk through the stunning Dartmoor National Park - just three miles away. The National Trust’s Castle Drogo, Finch Foundry, Lydford Gorge also nearby, and there’s even an award winning pub Tom Cobley Tavern a short walk from the cottage, many other pubs and for a special occasion, wedding anniversary, dining at Gidleigh Park.
Swallows at Falkedon is surrounded by the countryside, offers spacious, light-drenched rooms; delicious fresh local produce for breakfast, peace, seclusion and comfort, yet only five minutes from the A30.
The accommodation is part of a Georgian farmhouse, though no longer a working farm. The courtyard is planted up with roses and shrubs surrounded by traditional buildings, a sun trap for the evening sun. Approached via stone steps to the first floor into the kitchen/diner from here you are led into a landing where you can access the separate bathroom, with a large bath, shower and toilet and bidet.
Further along the landing there is a good size sitting room with three sofas, with Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player, books, games and DAB radio. The bedroom is accessed from the sitting room where you will find the super king-size bed, dressing table, cupboards, chest of drawers, book shelves either side of the bed and another TV for those relaxed lazy mornings! Both these rooms look out over the pretty garden.
