Cider, Bramble & Valley Cottages comprise of three stunning 17th Century barns, situated in the glorious and unspoilt Herefordshire countryside. The location of the cottages provides an ideal setting for relaxing and making special memories with family and friends. On arrival, the owners, who live on site, will show you around the cottages, and give you a complimentary welcome basket full of goodies, which will come in handy when you want to relax and take in the views with a glass of your favourite! Dogs are also greeted with their own welcome basket, and will enjoy roaming roam not just in the cottages and patios, but also in the 12 acres of ancient, rolling fields. There are over 12 acres of meadow enclosed by ancient hedges and trees. You can watch frogs in the old pond, give your dog a chance to chase rabbits, and watch the birds soar over the valley.
Here it is easy to forget work and just relax. All three cottages incorporate ancient oak beams and hardwood floors with modern facilities ensuring cosy comfort. The kitchens are fitted with quality facilities and all utensils are supplied. Children are welcome, and we can supply a cot and folding bed on request (these are free of charge). All bedrooms are en suite with underfloor heating and a mechanical heat recovery system, ensuring a constant supply of fresh air. The wet rooms and kitchens have Altro non-slip floors with underfloor heating. Each cottage has its own private patio; however, Brambles has stair gates with an enclosed child safe patio also ideal for dogs. The three holiday cottages are linked internally, allowing each to be private yet with the facility to join up for larger groups. The ground floor of Bramble’s is on the same level as Valley View Cottage, ideal for the less mobile and wheelchairs accessible. Valley View has two patios, both on the same level and wheelchair accessible. For eating out, The Royal Arms, our local country pub, is less than a mile from the cottages; they welcome dogs and children and offer guests of Thatch Close Cottages a generous 10% discount on food. Woods of Whitchurch is less than 2 miles from the cottages and have a wide selection of quality food, a lot of which is home-made or locally sourced. They offer a 15% discount on takeaway foods - try not to miss Friday’s Fish and Chips (ordering in advance) or their wide selection of pizzas!
