The 100 acre family arable farm with photography studio, fishing lake, cafe and pottery studio is only 5 miles from the coast and close to Colchester castle, Zoo or Dedham and famous Constable country.
With a fully glazed frontage which maximises light and farm views, The Hayloft sits centrally in the farmyard, an impressive conversion of a traditional black boarded Essex barn, formerly used for crop storage and threshing hay. The conversion retains many original features and natural features including planed oak from a farm tree felled in the storm of 1987. You can find this oak in the shelving around the living areas and in the family bathroom. The beams upstairs are original and in their natural state.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and has a washing machine with outside line or inside airer, a dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave and fridge freezer. A starter pack of cleaning products and essentail store cupboard items are also provided,
The open plan downstairs living area looks out onto the courtyard patio and has a dining table and chairs for 6, two settes, WiFi, a 40 in TV and DVD player plus charging docks and Bluetooth DAB radio. The under stairs cupboard stores the iron, essentail cleaning items and equipment for our younger guests.
There are three bedrooms upstairs; a master with king bed, en suite shower room, TV, seating and dressing area and farm views; a double bedroom with plenty of storage and a twin room with bunk beds. The family bathroom has a bath with over tub shower, vanity unit and heated towel rail. All beds have quality mattresses, pillows and coordinated bed linens made up ready for your arrival plus a selection of towels .
There is ample parking right outside for up to 3 cars with entrance through a gate on a level threshold. The paved courtyard has garden furniture part surrounded by hedging and a flower border. A gas barbecue is available during May to October.
For child friendly holidays there are toys, books, games and toddler equipment including a travel cot, high chair, booster seat, toddler training toilet seat, potty, step up, stair gate, plastic cutlery and crockery, changing mat and night lights.

The property is strictly no smoking, no pets but assistance dogs are welcomed. For guests with limited mobility please note you may not be able to access the first floor bedrooms and bathrooms- please contact us before booking to confirm the facilities are suitable.
