Perfect for relaxing and rekindling family ties, or celebrating with friends, this beautiful holiday house sleeping up to 16 sits behind stone mullion windows, its spectacular location enjoying one of the finest views in Yorkshire.
The Long View Yorkshire is perfect for friends, family and celebration stays, birthdays and reunions. It is in a convenient location, easily reachable from many parts of the UK, yet and the same time very private. Your group will have exclusive use of this peaceful space - the nearest neighbours are a couple of fields away.
There is a walled spa garden with private hot tub and sauna year round, and a cold plunge session is available April-September. The hot tub enjoys 360 degree views over the countryside, perfect for stargazing.
The large games room has a pool table, board games and a bar, and is a favourite with guests of all ages. In summer, enjoy a game of table tennis in the garden.
With wonderful walking from the door, the house is a destination in itself, with extensive facilities for your group's private use.
The hub of the house is a big kitchen with AGA, deep Chesterfield sofa, smart TV, and an elegant dining table seating 16. There's a separate food preparation area off here - ideal to store all your goodies, or as a prep area for chefs or caterers.
The sitting room has a woodburner, comfortable sofas, and another big smart TV - perfect for catching movies by firelight. Another sitting room is ideal as a breakout space, or for curling up with a book, with a cupboard of board games.
There's a downstairs bedroom for anyone less mobile (it has couple of steps down), with a super king or twin (and an additional single bed if required), with a luxury en suite shower room. Six bedrooms upstairs are a mix of super kings, kings and a twin, one a large suite with adjoining room with bunks. Some upstairs bedrooms are en suite, and there is also a large family bathroom with roll-top bath and shower.
At night, drink fizz in the hot tub in the walled garden, watching shooting stars, or enjoy a barbie on the terrace.
Wonderful footpaths and biking tracks wend through the valley, with the Pennine Bridleway, Pennine Way and National Trust woodland on the doorstep. There is also a country pub a beautiful short walk down the lane.
The Long View Yorkshire is so peaceful, you don't need to venture out, though it's a shame not to; the shops, restaurants and galleries of renowned Hebden Bridge are just 3 miles away - a short drive, or lovely daytime walk through the woods.
Day trips include Hebden Bridge, Haworth (home of the Bronte sisters), the Worth Valley Steam railway, the medieval village of Heptonstall, Halifax with its incredible Piece Hall (now a shopping and music venue), and Eureka – The National Children’s Museum. There's also Shibden Hall, the estate of Gentleman Jack fame. Bolton Abbey and Skipton in the southern part of the Yorkshire Dales are within an easy day trip. Manchester and Leeds are both less than an hour by train from Hebden Bridge.
The owner is happy to supply contacts for private chefs, caterers, cocktail classes, and yoga sessions in house. There are excellent restaurants and bars in Hebden Bridge, and taxis and private minibuses are bookable for evenings out in Hebden Bridge and the Piece Hall.
