Oak Cottage is a beautiful property situated on The Thirley Cotes Farm estate. A former livestock barn, the property has been lovingly restored to its former glory. With an upside-down approach (bedrooms downstairs, living area on the top floor) this former working livestock barn has been restored using traditional building materials and methods, and, every which way you gaze, you are reminded of the serenity of the surrounding area. Outside, the cottage has a front facing enclosed terrace with a private hot tub, outdoor seating and a Weber barbecue. Shared amenities, including a picnic field, outdoor children’s playground and indoor games room. Private parking is available for the property as well as access to EV Charging points if required. There’s lots to do in this charming corner of the country, known as The North Yorkshire and Cleveland Heritage Coast. You’re perfectly located to explore the seaside towns of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, as well as the higgledy-piggledy village of Robin Hood’s Bay, where you can stroll along sandy seashores, spot seals or even pay a visit to the grave of Bram Stoker’s Dracula atop Whitby’s abbey ruins. The nearby North Yorks Moors are renowned as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offer tail-wag worth walks in abundance.
