Luxury 'Just for Two' in the Brecon Beacons National Park


The Ty Mawr Collection comprises 5 unique cottages, ideal for couples wanting that special romantic break, or a bolthole to relax and unwind.

Set in the grounds of Ty Mawr a grade 2* Georgian Mansion in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Perfect for the great outdoors or just curled up in front of the roaring log burners - these cottages will delight whatever the season.

The cottages reflect their former use, and each has its own distinctive interior design with private patios and garden areas. The Laundry 1 x bedroom, The Dairy 1 x bedroom, The Coach 1 x bedroom, The Cottage 1 x bedroom, The Bothy 2 x bedroom. The Ty Mawr Collection will not disappoint, designed and equipped with luxury in mind these cottages deliver a truly 5 star boutique hotel experience.

And for those who cannot be separated from their favourite pets then Ty Mawr is doggy heaven with its own 12 acre park just for the use of the guests and their dogs.

For those who like adventure then the Brecon Beacons are on the doorstep with walks right from the door up onto the peaks. For those who like gentler strolls, the Brecon to Monmouth Canal and Llangorse Lake are close by. Bike and canoe hire are available locally and can be arranged to be delivered to the cottages.

Our new dedicated spa treatment room is now available to massage away those aches and pains after a day in the hills, and for the less energetic then just enjoy a facial or a pedicure.

A 20 minute walk will take you to The Three Horseshoes with excellent food and local ales. The award winning Gryffin Felin Fach is 10 minutes away by car and the Michelin starred Walnut Tree half an hour, and that is just a small sample of the many fine restaurants in the area.

A 20 minute drive will take you to the lovely towns of Hay on Wye, famous for The Hay Literary Festival and Crickhowell, both famous for their range of independent shops. An hour's drive will take you to Cardiff, Hereford, the Gower Peninsula or the stunning Elan Valley.

The Ty Mawr Collection is easy to find situated on the outskirts of the pretty village of Llanfrynach just 5 minutes off the A40 and just over three hours' drive from London. An EV charger is available on site.

Peter and Alexandra Davies (With Gryffin and Tudor). We saw the potential for the buildings over 10 years ago and they have now been lovingly renovated. Alexandra's passion for interior design shines through with each cottage having a distinctive design and a meticulous attention to detail. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed putting the Ty Mawr Collection together.
