Wressle Grange Farmhouse offers you a Yorkshire country escape in luxury self catering accommodation. This is a large property set in sprawling fields with views for miles. The house has three floors, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for group celebrations. Play games, walk, or simply relax in front of one of our two wood burners. Situated in the quaint village of Wressle on our working arable farm, the farmhouse has a stunning, large garden, patio area and lots of grass where children can play.
On the ground floor, is a kitchen, separate dining room to seat 14, snug, lounge, toilet and formal sitting room. There's also a games room for some friendly competition with a 6ft slate pool table.
Upstairs is the master bedroom, Brooke, with a super king bed and ensuite, two double rooms (Hedge and Lane End), and Vesci, a bedroom with a super king-size bed which can be made into twin beds. Plus, a large family bathroom which includes a bath and wet room shower with underfloor heating.
The top floor has a mezzanine level, two ensuite bedrooms (Oat has a double bed and Fleet a king-size bed) and Paddock is a small twin room, ideal for children, with two 3ft single beds. 2 travel cots are provided and 2 highchairs.
2 dogs are very welcome. We do ask that they stay downstairs. Please do not leave them in the house unattended. There is an outdoor run available. Dog welcome pack with bowls is provided. The garden is too large to fence in. There is a plenty of space to enjoy including the public footpath through the farm.
On arrival is a hamper of locally-sourced goodies such as Yorkshire tea, Howden Coffee, Yorkshire Pasta, Listers crisps, Yorkshire Apple Juice, Lottie Shaw's biscuits, Yorkshire rapeseed oil, plus honey when available. This comes from bees kept on our farm by a local keeper. Hamper contents may vary based on availability.
Explore the local area with plenty of beautiful walks, including a public footpath through the farm, nearby fishing spots or for golfers, the local provisions are a delight. Nature reserves and some historical landmarks are also right on the doorstep.
Only a few miles from York, Wressle Grange is based on a working arable farm. A quiet, rural escape with great views across the fields. An accessible location, we are just 10 minutes from the M62 making us the perfect central meet up place. York, Leeds and the Yorkshire Coast are all within easy reach.
Howden is just 10 minutes away. It has a lovely park and independent shops and restaurants. There are also direct trains from London to Howden station. You will need a car/pre-booked taxi from the station.
