Sussex

Situated in the South East of England, Sussex offers a variety of landscapes, depending on which part you visit. From its coastal plains and beautiful beaches to the unspoilt beauty of the South Downs and The Weald, you’ll find everything from remote, rural villages to bustling market towns and brash, vibrant cities. Whatever you want from your holiday a trip to Sussex puts you in charge, allowing you to make your break exactly what you want it to be.

Historic Sussex

Arundel Castle is one of the county’s most impressive and popular attractions. Set in 45 hectares of superb woodland, the castle dates back to the 16th Century and is a fascinating day out for hardened historians and newcomers to the subject. Although slightly less intact, Camber Castle is an equally fascinating site to visit. It was constructed in the 14th Century to protect the River Rother.

Wonderful Waterways

Sussex also has its own network of waterways and visitors can hire boats to gain a unique perspective of the local scenery. Chichester Canal is particularly impressive, originally designed as a transport link. Today, it offers great opportunities for boating, fishing, kayaking and canoeing.

Fun for Families

Families looking spend some time together are well served by things to see and do. Drusillas Park is a small zoo that is over 70 years old, yet holds a wonderful variety of birds and animals. However, if your little ones prefer something more interactive, then pay a visit to Eastbourne Miniature Railway Adventure Park. Set around a five-acre lake, it offers a mile-long miniature railway ride and enough outdoor activities to tire out even the most energetic youngster.
