Nestled in 14 acres of a warm tranquil valley in the heart of the South Devon countryside, Compton Pool is a perfect haven for guests of all ages.

This ancient farm dating back to the 12th century has been lovingly converted into 10 cottages each with its own character, all appointed to the most luxurious standard.

The farm setting is completed with the provision of excellent facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, all weather tennis court, games barn, children’s play area, lake fishing and wonderful woodland walks.

Compton Pool is truly rural yet easily accessible to many clean and safe beaches, the National Park of Dartmoor, an array of tourist attractions for all the family and a good selection of supermarkets and shops.

There is a good selection of village pubs and restaurants within easy reach, the most local of which is a gentle 10-15 minute stroll away.

A pre arrival shopping delivery service can be provided using local produce suppliers.

Cottages:

Each cottage whilst differing in layout and character, is comfortably furnished and fitted to the highest standard.

All cottages have the following equipment and facilities;

Private and secure garden with timber furniture and Weber barbecue

Central heating is on from 6.30am until 11.30pm. You can control the temperature at the radiators

Well equipped kitchens inc. dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer

Marble floors to dining and kitchen areas (timber in Farmhouse, Crazy Well and Torr)

Well appointed bathrooms and shower rooms

Hand crafted contemporary furniture produced in the UK

King-size luxury beds in all double bedrooms and full size singles in twin rooms (no bunk beds)

Top quality soft furnishings with all bedding and towels included (not cot bedding or swimming/beach towels)

Flat screen digital TVs, DVD players and Bose HiFi systems (TVs in all double bedrooms)

Cots and high chairs all available at no charge

On site laundry room with washing and drying facilities

WiFi internet access at no charge in all cottages

All cottages are non smoking

No pets allowed (except Torr Cottage - Charges apply)

Farmhouse: sleeps 10 + 1 child in small bed in master bedroom. Master bedroom with super king 4 poster bed, en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and massage shower. 1 king-size en suite, 1 twin en suite. 1 king-size and 1 twin with family bathroom accessed by a separate staircase, making the house ideal for 2 families sharing.

The Farmhouse has its own private access and parking and has a large private south facing garden with dining terrace and conservatory. There is an Aga, 2 large American style fridge/freezer, and a wood burning stove fire. Sky HD is provided.

Ambrook: sleeps 8 in 2 king-size en suite master bedrooms, 2 twins and a family bathroom.

Bidwell: sleeps 6 in a king-size en suite master bedroom and 2 twins downstairs with a family bathroom

Torr: single storey detached timber lodge sleeps 6 in a king-size en suite master bedroom and 2 twins with a family bathroom.

Crazy Well: sleeps 5 in a king bedroom, a twin room with a family bathroom upstairs and downstairs a single en suite room.

Arch / Kester: sleep 4 in a king bedroom, a twin room and a family bathroom.

Wray / Redlake: sleep 4 in king-size en suite bedroom, a twin room and a family bathroom

Bow: single storey sleeps 2 in en suite king bedroom.

Changeover day for weekly stays is on a Friday.

Short breaks (3 day weekend or 4 day midweek break available in mid season and 1or 2 nights stays in low seasons)

Debbie and Paul Plummer We moved from Bristol with our son Dexter, in September 2021. We live on site, so are here to help if you need any assistance. We are keen to offer our guests a holiday to remember rather than just a place to stay and make happy memories with your loved ones. Dexter enjoys making new friends and loves playing with them in his new playground in The Orchard. We look forward to welcoming you all to Compton Pool.
