About & Contact

A cosy holiday cottage in the Cotswolds

Located in the small hamlet of Maugersbury near Stow-on-the-Wold, Swingletree Cottage has character, privacy and fabulous views.

Set in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famed for its stunning countryside and quaint villages. There are many good walks and several National Trust properties and gardens to visit nearby, as well as opportunities for golfing, horse riding and fishing. Blenheim Palace, Bath, Oxford and Warwick Castle are also within easy reach.

From Maugersbury, a ten-minute walk along a footpath leads to the nearest pub on the edge of Stow-on-the-Wold. Another five-minute walk leads into the Market Square where there are many quality and specialist shops, art galleries and excellent restaurants.

Swingletree is a single-storey Cotswold stone barn conversion which retain original features such a vaulted ceiling and exposed roof trusses which used to be the stables at Park Farm. The sophisticated sitting room with dining area has French doors leading to the patio which provides the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The cottage is cosy with a real fire to snuggle up to as the nights draw in and a four-poster bed to enjoy a good night’s sleep on. A furnished south-facing patio, WiFi, washer/drier, dishwasher and deep freezer. Electricity, fuel, logs, heating, linen, towels and the provision of cots and highchair is inclusive. Complete with a country pub within walking distance, this is a real rural retreat. There's even a tennis court onsite!

Dogs are welcome and there is an adjacent dog-proof paddock for them to run safely off-lead - there are even a few jumps and weaving poles should your dog enjoy a bit of agility training!

Meet the owner

Tiana Ricketts

Park Farm Holiday Cottages is a family-run business that John and Tiana have grown over 30 years. Whilst converting each barn they've been careful to restore and maintain the character and features of the original buildings. John’s keen interest in woodwork and construction has been put to good use over the years and his new found interest in cider making gives some visitors the chance to witness the cider making process first hand. Tiana loves the outdoors and will often be found looking after the hens and horses or working the sheep with Collie dog Ginny.
