Award-winning cottages in South Downs National Park

Perched on a hillside in the South Downs, with stunning open-countryside views across the Meon Valley to the Isle of Wight, these 5 award-winning cottages sleeping 6-8 people can be booked individually or as a group. They are ideal for multi-generational gatherings, celebrations or corporate get-togethers. The 4* Gold rated cottages are all ground-floor, individually rated M1, M2, M3, V1 and H1 under the National Accessible Scheme, ideal for families and dogs are welcome.

The cottages, opened in May 2014, were designed with mobility, vision and hearing impaired guests in mind, without compromising on the comfort or aesthetic appeal. Our commitment to providing excellent accommodation has recently been recognised winning two Beautiful South Awards, Gold in the ‘Access for All Tourism’ category and Silver in the ‘Self-Catering Provider of the Year’.

Guests consistently comment on how comfortable and well equipped the cottages are, how friendly and helpful the staff and owners are, how fabulous the views from the hot tubs and what a relaxing place it is to stay. They’ve even asked about the beds they’ve slept so well!

The conversion of this old farm building was completed to a very high standard with quality fixtures and fittings throughout including oak flooring, wood burners, complimentary WiFi and underfloor heating fuelled by an eco-friendly woodchip boiler. Spacious and comfortable, with open plan sitting/dining room, with an extending oak table capable of seating 12, and a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. All the bedrooms can be made up as either twin or super kingsize doubles, have black-out blinds, TVs and en-suite shower rooms and there is a communally accessible bathroom in each cottage, ideal for families. There are hairdryers, an iPod docking station and plenty of books, DVDs and games in each cottage and secure bicycle storage.

We are members of Hampshire Fare, a regional group which promotes and supports local food and drink producers and distributors. Guests are greeted with a pack of locally sourced produce including a home-made cake, we can provide meals for the fridge for guests to cook, recommend local places to dine out or even a personal chef. If you book grocery shopping for the day of your arrival we happy to take delivery if you cannot book a slot after the time you anticipate arriving. Age appropriate toys, equipment for children and pets are supplied and supplementary packages can be booked including bicycle hire, babysitters and spa treatments. Guests are invited to review a list of equipment for children and those with accessibility requirements so specific items can be requested and placed in their cottages prior to their arrival.

Although we appreciate many guests come to enjoy the tranquillity and relax at the cottages, we encourage our guests to discover the area and make the most of their time here in Hampshire. There is a comprehensive information folder, walking books and maps in each cottage, the local area pages of our website provide links to hundreds of places to visit and things to do and see whatever you are interested in, whether it is family attractions like Paulton’s Park and Peppa Pig World, outdoor activities, cultural sites or places to eat out. We regularly post information about upcoming festivals and events nearby on our Facebook page as well as promotions and news, so do like us to keep in touch with developments,

Up to two pets are welcome in each cottage, each of which has an enclosed garden, and there are plenty of footpaths nearby for dog-walks without needing to jump in your car, meaning your pet can enjoy their holiday too!
