Beautiful barns, stunning scenery & beaches, plus the friendliest animals
In a peaceful hamlet just two miles from the stunning North Cornwall coastline with easy access to beautiful beaches, postcard-pretty villages and award winning attractions, West Woolley Farm is the ideal place for a family holiday, a weekend break or a few days away from it all.
Come and meet our friendly animals, explore Cornwall’s spectacular countryside and legendary beaches, and relax in our gorgeous cottages. We’re always on hand to help or provide suggestions about where to go and what to see. Because we’d love to help you have the best holiday ever!
We’re nine miles north of the coastal town of Bude, so we’re easy to get to and a great base for exploring Cornwall and Devon. Two miles from the sea and adjoining an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the farm is a peaceful haven surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Everyone’s welcome to help with morning animal feeding – children especially enjoy feeding the pigs and chickens, herding the ducks, stroking the sheep and playing with our pygmy goats. And if they’ve still got energy to burn, head to our sports barn.
We have six beaches within 15-20 minutes with wide sandy beaches and secluded coves that are excellent for surfing, sunbathing, rock-pooling or making sandcastles. The South West Coast Path provides outstanding walking and dramatic views, local stables offer riding for all ages and abilities, and cyclists can explore quiet lanes and trails from the farm.
Explore National Trust Properties, RHS gardens, local traditional fishing villages like Clovelly or Appledore and ancient sites like Tintagel, or take a boat trip out to Lundy Island to see puffins, seals, and dolphins. With easy access to the Atlantic Highway (A39), destinations like Padstow, Newquay or the Eden Project are well within reach, and Exmoor Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are accessible for a wild day out.
Thrill-seekers are spoilt for choice, with abseiling, climbing, coasteering, kayaking, wakeboarding, sailing, paddleboarding and zorbing all on the doorstep. For a more relaxing outdoor experience, try cycling the family-friendly Tarka Trail and take the Camel Trail to Padstow or to the award-winning Camel Valley vinyard.
The mild climate makes this part of the Cornwall coast ideal for holidays all year round. Even winter has its special charm with spectacular starry skies and dramatic sunsets over the rugged coast to the sea.
