Meet the owner
In 2006, we discovered an escape from the city and a chance to offer a bit of what we love - a great place to stay, a warm, professional welcome and an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
We encourage visitors to make maximum use of their legs and minimum use of their cars and it’s brilliant to see them enjoying the stunning surroundings and all the huge range of activities and sites the Peak District has to offer.
Our first dog Oz is no longer with us (well, strictly speaking he is, as we buried him in our dog meadow...), but we adopted Bernie as a puppy, were adopted ourselves by Mister (who turned up at our door), and have been joined by hens, ducks, rabbits, and lambs and most recently by some trout in our experimental aquaponics system.
We look forward to welcoming you to Wheeldon Trees...
