Dog Friendly Luxury Holiday Cottages

Dog-Friendly Holiday Cottages in Devon

There’s always going to be a magic ingredient that makes your holiday more special. What’s that? Being able to take your dog with you, of course. Dogs aren’t just pets, they’re part of the family. You could take it one step further too and think about where your dog might like to go on holiday. Like us, dogs appreciate wild open spaces, coast and country, and moors and mountains. They make the best hiking and exploration companions. Consider booking yourself a dog-friendly cottage in Devon, the land of rolling hills, wide open moors, thatched cottages, and idyllic coasts (two of them). The perfect place for you and your dog to get back to nature and chill out. We have 2 categories of property that take dogs:

•    Dogs Accepted – does what it says on the tin!
•    Dogs Welcome – goes the extra mile to provide a dog-friendly welcome, including a doggy welcome hamper, dog towels, throws, poo bags etc

Devon is one of the UK’s top holiday destinations, and for good reason. Many consider it the prettiest county, with chocolate box villages and pristine beaches, that in the summer, often appear more Mediterranean than English. There are also two equally scenic, but unique moors—Dartmoor and Exmoor. Dartmoor is famed for its granite tors and ancient oak woodland. A vast upland area of swaying grasses, misty marshes, and deep river valleys. Exmoor is a similar expanse, flushed with pink heather in summer. Though in contrast to Dartmoor, the exposed hills of Exmoor melt into the Bristol channel. A beautiful and secluded stretch of coast, known for the artistic hideouts of Lynton and Lynmouth. Both moors are untamed playgrounds for you and your dog.

Moving to South Devon, you’ll find two of the most picturesque coastal towns in the UK – Dartmouth and Salcombe. Both cloaked by rolling Devon countryside and bounded by aquamarine waters. Think yachts, their sails billowing in the wind, Devonshire cream teas, art galleries, and delicious local fish and chips.
