Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden
Fantastic walks through the lovely woods and gardens (and a free poop scoop is provided) and then take a boat trip on their private broad between April & October.
If you are National Trust members then you are spoilt for choice in Norfolk and one lovely walk for dogs is at Felbrigg Hall. Lots of walks of all different lengths through lovely woods and grounds all year round – and finish it off with refreshments in their lovely tea rooms (and there are bowls of water for doggies too). http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/felbrigg-hall/facilities-and-access/
Norfolk has amazing beaches too where your dogs will love a run around and getting wet too. At Wells-next-Sea not only did they win the 2014 best beach award but at the Beach Cafe is the “Wash ‘n Wag” dog wash! After a fun run in the sea, your dog can have the sea water washed off in a specially enclosed booth – fun and free! The Cafe won the Kennel Club’s 2014 “Be dog Friendly Award” for cafes. Some beaches have restrictions in the summer months but many are dog friendly all year round including Happisburgh beach – fantastic long walks on the beach or the cliff – and pick the right day and you can have a tour up the landmark lighthouse too. Brilliant.
As for pubs, well not only do we have a growing reputation for brewing beer in Norfolk – we like to enjoy our fantastic pubs too, and lots are dog friendly including the White Horse at Neatishead in the Broads National Park (awarded best pub on the broads 2014) – and then take a tour round the RAF Radar Museum, followed by a cream tea at Horning by the riverside. Yummy
As for walks – try the fantastic Norfolk Trails – a network of over 1200 miles through the countryside, along the coast and either short or long distance trails. Fantastic and growing all the time and you can download maps and routes. http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/leisure_and_culture/norfolk_trails/index.htm
