With most people opting to remain in the UK for their summer break this year, holiday options are rather limited. Fear not, you can find your favourite holiday cottage for a September stay in the selection below:

 

Cranmer Country Cottages, Norfolk

Set in 175 acres of farmland, the luxurious Cranmer Country Cottages, are close to the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, Holkham and Burnham Market. On-site is an indoor heated swimming pool, two tennis courts, a well-equipped games room and a children’s adventure play area. Babysitting can also be arranged. A week’s September stay in Cranmer Country Cottages’ Owl for four starts from £1589 and a three-night weekend break from £1184. In Garden House a week’s stay for six starts from £2209 and a three-night weekend break from £1694. In The Eco-Barn for 12, seven-night stays start from £4014 and three-night weekend stays from £2992.

The Barn, Broadmea, Cumbria

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in southwest Northumberland near the Cumbrian border, The Barn sleeps ten.  Perfect for a family holiday or group getaway, the open plan barn conversion is on three levels with open beamed ceilings, rustic stone walls and two lofty gallery living rooms that overlook the spacious dining area. Nearby attractions include Hadrian’s Wall, The Pennine Way and the C2C Cycle route. Guests can also take a steam engine train journey through the South Tyne Valley or explore the fabulous footpaths and cycleways straight from the door before returning to relax in the onsite sauna and hot tub. A week’s stay in Broadmea’s The Barn for ten guests arriving 10th September is £2214.

The Old Rectory Cottages, Devon

The Old Rectory’s six cottages are situated in the Devonshire village of Kings Nympton on the edge of a small wood with far-reaching views of the rolling countryside between Exmoor and Dartmoor. In the five acres of landscaped gardens are an indoor heated pool and a children’s treehouse, The Grove, an award-winning public house is a minute’s walk away. This September a seven-night stay at The Old Rectory Cottages’, Little Nymet for two guests is £600, in Hawthorns for four people is £900, in Nymet Mews for five guests is £1000.

Wooladon Estate, Devon

Located in unspoilt rolling countryside on the Devon and Cornwall border, Wooladon Estate comprises a beautiful Georgian farmhouse and five adjoining barns. Onsite is a dog-friendly circular 4-mile trail that includes woodland and riverside walk with picnic benches as well as estate tracks that are great for cycling. All properties have BBQ’s, and two have private hot tubs. Guests can also enjoy on-site carp fishing,  an arrival meal service (additional charge) on arrangement plus the owners’ award-winning Strawberry Fields Farm Shop and Restaurant just a short walk away. Wooladon House sleeps 14 and a four-night midweek stay arriving on 20th September is £2372. A week’s stay in Pheasant Barn for four arriving 10th September is £1195 and in Kingfisher Barn, a stay for two arriving 17th September is £845.

West Woolley Farm, Cornwall

West Woolley Farm has six family-friendly barns which sleep between two and six guests. Families can join in the morning animal feeding and situated in a peaceful hamlet just two miles from the stunning North Cornwall coastline the cottages have easy access to beautiful beaches, picture-postcard villages, great local walks and excellent family-friendly local pubs. A week-long stay in West Woolley Farm’s Shepherds for two guests arriving on 17th September costs £599 and a three-night weekend break is £419. Alternatively, in Grain Store a week’s stay for four guests arriving on 24th September costs £552 and a three-night weekend break £386. A week’s stay in sleeps six Mill House arriving 17th September costs £820 and a three-night weekend break costs £574.
