Our Hideaways may be styled as a shepherd's huts, but they are still designed for modern living, with electricity, central heating and mains drainage. They are lovely and warm, and suitable for all-year-round use. All three Hideaways offer the same level of comfort and they both have the same specification. They are situated to maximise their views and their privacy. In each the living area has a combined microwave/oven, halogen hob, large fridge, Belfast sink, and masses of utensils. The kitchens allow one to prepare proper meals and fully self cater. There is WiFi, a Bose Bluetooth speaker for use with your own smart phone or tablet, and a digital radio. The bedroom has a luxurious 5-foot bed and a Smart TV. From your bed, you can look through a large window towards the beech woods and across the fields to the Northumberland coast eight miles away. An adjoining bathroom has a shower, loo and basin. Heating and hot water are provided by a gas boiler and radiators, and there is also a log burning stove. A bottle of wine, cake, milk and some essentials are provided as a welcome gift. There is a combined barbecue, fire bowl outside each hut. These Hideaways offer a higher level of comfort and warmth than most others that are available in the UK. New for 2021 the luxury Treehouse. With panoramic views from the coast to the south east – to the Pennines to the south west. This contemporary building sleeps two in privacy and style and is a luxurious base to explore Northumberland. Every last detail of this exquisite building has been finished to the highest standard. Clad in burnt Siberian larch, the Treehouse stands high on rusting Corten steel columns with large mirror glass windows. From the super king-size bed one can open the electric curtains. A perfect place for a honeymoon or a special birthday
We opened our cottage business 32 years ago as a diversification on my farm, following a spinal accident. We did not expect to have more than 2 cottages but we enjoyed welcoming visitors so much we expanded! Beacon Hill is a stunning location and people love coming here, returning in some cases, many times a year. We have made many friends over the years and we continue to enjoy welcoming guests to this lovely unspoilt area of England. Christopher my son has joined me and is responsible for our new Shepherd' Huts - the Beacon Hill Hideaways - which have proved to be exceptionally popular.
