Ryegrass, our luxurious Shepherd's Hut, is an idyllic haven for a self-catering holiday for two in scenic Northumberland. Beautifully located in a south-facing wildflower meadow, this perfect hideaway has been built to a superb standard. It is 30 feet long, and has three rooms and a westerly-facing terrace. It is just a short stroll on a woodchip path from the Spa – you can even walk there in your slippers! The 360 acre estate has a 40-acre, semi-ancient beech wood, a beautiful lake and magical views, with many lovely walks from your door.

We opened our cottage business 32 years ago as a diversification on my farm, following a spinal accident. We did not expect to have more than 2 cottages but we enjoyed welcoming visitors so much we expanded! Beacon Hill is a stunning location and people love coming here, returning in some cases, many times a year. We have made many friends over the years and we continue to enjoy welcoming guests to this lovely unspoilt area of England. Christopher my son has joined me and is responsible for our new Shepherd' Huts - the Beacon Hill Hideaways - which have proved to be exceptionally popular.
