The Tides consists of two apartments, High Tide and Low Tide. High Tide sleeps 6 and Low Tide sleeps 4, they share a joint entrance allowing guests to open it up into a welcoming and charming holiday home for 10 people. It is perfect for two families or multi generation family stays as there are two open plan kitchen/living rooms on the upper and lower floors. The property boasts large ceilings and original fittings, recently renovated to a high luxury standard by Holly Johnson and Benjamin Aardewerk, antique dealers and interior designers. The property is filled with individually chosen pieces, alongside designer furnishings. Super king, hand-made burgess beds with Tiele linens. The property feels cosy but luxurious. Bespoke photographic artwork fills the walls. The piece de resistance is the amazing views across the Menai Strait over to Snowdonia. Low Tide leads off the main hall straight into a large open plan living room with kitchen and diner. There is a huge picture window revealing views of the Menai Straight and Snowdonia across the garden. The apartment is filled with antiques and photographic art. There is also an electric fire and large TV for cosy nights in. The main bedroom, with a super king bed, has the most stunning views across the garden, through a huge picture window. With an en suite bathroom with shower. The back twin bedroom also leads from the lounge and has its own en suite bathroom with bath and shower over the bath. High Tide is accessed from the central hallway and up the Victorian architectural staircase. From the landing, a large open plan living room with kitchen and large dining table commands superb views over the Menai Straight to Snowdonia. This space has high ceilings and a huge bespoke couch, for relaxing and taking in the view. There is also a large TV and an electric fire for quiet evenings. The main bedroom is accessed from the lounge and houses a huge antique carved bed. Take morning coffee in bed and plan your day whilst contemplating the view. A Jack and Jill en suite bathroom with shower also leads to the second bedroom, with a super king bed, at the back of the property. This is a great space for family and kids to bed down. Off the landing is a large family bathroom with bath and shower over the bath. Next door is the third charming bedroom with super king bed, which is slightly more private. The Tides has two back courtyards with seating and barbecues. It also has use of the large front communal gardens with loungers and benches. The Tides is a stunning property rented as one house in high season but can be split and booked separately out of season. Individual, off road private parking bays for up to 3 cars with the availability to use the EV car-charger (when booked in advance). All parking spaces are monitored by 3 CCTV cameras for your security. We are a five-minute walk away from the beautiful town Beaumaris, with lovely shops and a wide variety of restaurants and even a little bakery. Let us not forget the famous Beaumaris Castle and the Beaumaris pier. From the pier there are different boat rides and fishing trips departing, which go up and down the Menai Strait, or on to the Irish Sea. The Beaumaris Goal is a very interesting place to visit as it gives you an insight to the prison life in Victorian times. There are two golf courses in the direct vicinity, a 9 hole course at Baron Hill Golf Club and a full 18 hole course at Henllys Golf Club, where they have a great grill restaurant, Harry's Bistro, also open to non-golfers.

The whole site is owned and has been restored by husband-and-wife team Holly Johnson and Benjamin Aardewerk, hence the name Ben and Holly’s Hideaways. Work on the whole site has taken nearly 5 years to complete. However, it has been an enjoyable process. We have used local planners, architects and historians who have been enthusiastic and helpful. Glas construction, our North Wales builders have been amazing, and we have worked together on the site from the very beginning, with their team of local craftsmen. In a way we are sad to have come to the end of the restoration and rebuilding journey but we’re very excited about the new chapter of sharing our lovely properties with holiday makers who, hopefully, enjoy this magical corner of the world as much as we do.
