Beautiful countryside adult escape

Experience the ultimate countryside getaway in our luxurious holiday cottages, each boasting EV charging and superfast broadband for your convenience. As with all our properties, Great Eckworthy is over 16's only making us the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Whether you’re enjoying a romantic escape for two or a family & friends retreat for up to six, you’ll find every comfort awaits you. Our beautifully refurbished cottages, awarded the Visit England 5* Gold accolade, feature private hot tubs and real fires. Beautiful linens, Bramley products & gorgeous touches throughout. For larger groups of up to ten people, all three properties can be booked together. The Barn features a downstairs bedroom & bathroom which makes it ideal for a multi generational holiday.

The Granary & The Cottage are dog free and The Barn is dog-friendly, ensuring both relaxation and adventure for you and your furry friends. Nestled in very peaceful surroundings, these retreats provide the perfect blend of comfort, connectivity, and tranquillity, making them an ideal choice for your next holiday.

We have the most beautiful starry nights here, where from the warmth of your private hot tub you can watch the owls flying through the trees. Buzzards, Woodpeckers, Pheasants and Nuthatches can be seen daily feeding.

We are very fortunate to be within a short drive away from excellent country pubs including The Farmers Arms in Woolsery. We have the Tarka Trial, RHS Rosemoor and The South West Coast path very close by. Food and craft markets each month. Excellent seafood sold on the quay at Appledore and gorgeous sandy beaches.

Just a short drive away, you'll find the charming coastal towns of Appledore and Westward Ho! both offering stunning seaside experiences. Appledore, with its quaint streets and vibrant harbour, is perfect for a leisurely stroll, while Westward Ho! boasts a beautiful beach ideal for sunbathing, surfing, or enjoying a scenic walk along the shore. Both locations provide opportunities for fresh seafood dining and delightful local shops, making them perfect day trips to complement your countryside retreat. Enjoy the best of both worlds - peaceful countryside and refreshing coastal adventures - all within easy reach!

Clovelly is a stunning, picturesque fishing village that exudes maritime charm and rich history. Nestled along the rugged coastline, its steep cobbled streets and quaint cottages create a magical atmosphere that transports you back in time. Once owned by the Queen of England, Clovelly is renowned for its stunning views and captivating scenery, making it a perfect spot for leisurely exploration. Visitors can wander down to the bustling harbour, enjoy fresh seafood from local vendors, and soak in the vibrant maritime culture that permeates this enchanting village. Whether you're admiring the dramatic cliffs or simply soaking up the unique ambiance, Clovelly offers a truly unforgettable experience.
