Parts of Great Eckworthy date from the 15th century and it is surrounded by fields and woodland.
The Barn is our biggest property, now available for a solo traveller or a couple. If taken as a 1 bed the rate is reduced & this is a very popular option.
The downstairs has a bedroom and en suite bathroom with walk in shower making it ideal for guests with limited mobility. Perfect for a multi generational holiday. This is a warm and cosy property with ample seating inside and out.

With ample outdoor space for dogs, The Barn is not only the perfect retreat for guests but also pet-friendly, with the exception of the bedrooms. The area outside of the Barn is fenced. If there is no livestock in our 4.5 acre field you are welcome to exercise your dogs in it. You would have exclusive use of the field to do this and access is directly outside the Barn. The Barn can accommodate up to 4 dogs however if you think there is enough space for your dogs and you have more please do get in touch.
The Barn is exclusively for adults, ensuring a peaceful and relaxed environment for all guests. Although we are not in a dark sky area they are absolutely beautiful because there is little light pollution.
We have our own onsite beauty salon offering fantastic treatments for men & women.
Lauren is here every Thursday & Saturday from 08.30-17.30hrs. She is a fully qualified Level 3 beautician and has been working in the beauty industry for 4 years. We have onsite a 7KW Zappi car charger which is for the use of all guests. Please let us know when you would like to use it. We charge at 50p per kWh payable by cash or BACS at the end of your stay before departure. There is plenty of parking directly outside The Barn.
Close to the North Devon coast, Cornwall borders and stunning ancient Devon villages such as the privately owned village of Clovelly, Hartland, Instow & Appledore. Beautiful coast & country walks nearby. 15 minutes away from RHS Rosemoor. The Tarka Trail starts just 5 mins away - perfect for cycling or walking.
Excellent pubs and restaurants a short drive away. including The Farmers Arms in Woolsery. The beaches of Sandymouth, Westward Ho! are an easy drive & Saunton Sands & Croyde a little further.
