5*Gold luxury retreat with lovely open views

Facing west, with doors opening onto the private patio, this cottage catches the afternoon sun and overlooks gently rolling farmland.

You'll discover a traditional layout of two en suite bedrooms on the first floor, one featuring a specially retained and restored 'bullseye' window. Both bedrooms have Flat screen TVs with an additional owl watching channel. Bedroom one is configured as a super king, the second as zip-link twins. The ground floor has a roomy open plan living area, featuring the unusual exposed chalk walls of the Flamborough area, and is heated by both underfloor heating and a log burning stove. Lovely open views can be enjoyed from the kitchen area, which is fitted with quality appliances, quartz work surfaces and a large breakfast bar. A downstairs cloakroom, plus an enclosed utility area completes the accommodation.

We offer ample secure parking for two cars.

Meet the owner

John, Angela and James Foster

We run High Barn Cottages in conjunction with our other holiday cottages, down the road at Field House Farm, where we live. They are part of our exclusive Heritage Escapes group. James, our son joined us in the business in 2015 and Fiona leads our loyal and hardworking team of housekeepers. You will be greeted by John, James or Angela on arrival and given a very brief introduction to your cottage. You will see us around at High Barn during the course of your stay, as we visit daily. We are aware that some guests like us to stop and chat and others seek to be more private. We're happy to fit in with your wishes. We stress that we are minutes away in case of an emergency. Our farmland surrounds the cottages. Arable farming is the other part of our business. John's family have farmed and lived here for six generations. Our hope now, with four grandchildren following on, is that our family farm, and the holiday cottages will continue to thrive for many more years.
