Luxury accommodation, beautiful rural location

Kittisford Barton Farm is set in the glorious rolling hills of the Somerset countryside, close to Wellington in the 'boondooks' - a land hidden from the outside world; a secret perfect world, yet not far from civilisation.

Our farm is a biodiverse organic beef farm that you can wander at your leisure, enjoying paddling in Watery Lane where the Bathealton Stream reaches the River Tone, or meandering along paths leading you through the woodlands and fields around the farm. There is a stamp box challenge, several geocaches hidden and a map of the local area is provided, so plenty of excuses to get out and explore! If you wish to venture further afield, our picturesque corner of Somerset offers attractions for everyone, including pub-goers, garden-lovers, thrill-seekers and children.

The Cottage Beyond and Yonder View are two unique and diverse properties; TCB is a large property, with private spa hall, extensive gardens, games room and space to entertain. It is perfect for the large multi-generational gatherings and reunions of friends - it sleeps up to 16 across 6 bedrooms. Yonder View is a contemporary bespoke shipping container conversion; sleeping 2+2 it is the place to come to escape from it all; a romantic getaway, or a small family mini-break. It has a secure private garden, and an optional wood-fired hot tub experience can be added to your booking.

Both properties have something incredibly special to offer, and we find time and again that once guests have arrived they just don't want to leave! The properties are both dog friendly and are managed personally by on-site owners who are able to support you at any point during your stay with any questions or queries that you may have.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions about Kittisford Barton Farm and our wonderful The Cottage Beyond and Yonder View properties.

Meet the owner

Christine, Emellia and John Ker

Christine & Alan own and manage their beautiful property The Cottage Beyond. It was their former family home, built and adapted round their growing family, including their son Hugh who is severely disabled. Expansion and modification to the property over the last 24 years has been with care and thought to ensure inclusivity, whilst maintaining a luxurious and ‘normal’ look. They are passionate about accessibility for ALL so if you have any particular needs do call them up or drop them an email. They have a very 'can do' attitude to life. They also organically farm alongside their son John and his wife Rachael and are more than happy to take guests on farm tours.
