Piran Cottage is a stunning, spacious one bedroom cottage overlooking the courtyard. The Grade II listed barn conversion has a woodburner and a ground source heat pump provides hot water and geothermal underfloor heating. There is a double bedroom with king-size bed, en suite bathroom with a slipper bath and separate shower. The cottage has superfast broadband and a smart TV. There is a seating area with a table and chairs immediately outside the cottage, and a beautiful courtyard garden with barbecue adjoining. The car park is close by, and you are welcome to spend time exploring the extensive grounds. Help yourselves to free fresh eggs from our hens and ducks. Guests come back year after year because they love the high quality accommodation, its peaceful rural setting and the proximity to beaches, the coast path and great places to eat and drink. The local beaches are stunning, especially at Trevaunance Cove, Chapel Porth and Perranporth, and the cliffs at St Agnes Head and Cligga will take your breath away. Lambriggan has a rich history and was once home to Thomas Tonkin, said to have been the inspiration for Winston Graham’s Ross Poldark. The grounds are a delightful mix of formal gardens, woodland and pasture, with two small lakes and a stream. There are plenty of areas in the grounds to sit and relax, including a jungle house by one of the lakes. A public byway leads from Lambriggan to a great pub (a 25 minute stroll away) and the coast. St Agnes and Perranporth are a 10-minute drive away, while the cathedral city of Truro is 15 minutes by car. Most other parts of mid and west Cornwall can be reached within 40 minutes. Virtually all local shops, pubs and restaurants are family-run and we are happy to make recommendations based on our own personal experiences and those of our guests.

We are now in our tenth year running Lambriggan Court and we pride ourselves in providing a warm, friendly welcome to all our guests. There are three acres of lovely gardens at Lambriggan, so we spend a lot of our time gardening (which we love). We also have orchards and livestock. Gary enjoys breeding pedigree sheep and is also an historian, specialising in Cornish history, while Fiona has extensive experience of the hospitality industry. In her spare time Fiona enjoys playing golf and we both love walking along the nearby cliffs and beaches, as well as visiting historic properties in the area (Gary is a trustee of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Our aim is to provide you with the type of support you require to make the most of your holiday. We are happy to talk about Lambriggan and the local area, as well as give recommendations of places to visit. However, we are equally happy to leave you to enjoy this special place without interference. It’s your choice!
