Plough cottage is a beautiful 3 bed cottage found at the heart of the Northbrook Arms site in East Stratton, Hampshire. Refurbished in Feb 2022 to an extremely high standard, this cottage offers small groups and families a home from home. All bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms and Smart TV’s. Downstairs boasts a comfortable and cosy living space complete with log burner. A kitchen/diner will no doubt host a number of memorable meals and moments for the guests that use it. Living room is a gorgeous living space that includes a log burner and SMART TV. The kitchen/diner has a fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher and includes a six-seater round dining table. There is also a small downstairs utility room that includes a downstairs toilet, sink and washer/dryer unit. Bedroom 1 is a spacious super king-size bedroom with ensuite (shower, toilet and sink). Built-in wardrobe unit and wall mounted Smart TV. Bedroom 2 is a cosy king-size bedroom with ensuite (bath, toilet and sink) with free standing wardrobe, chest of drawers and Smart TV. Bedroom 3 is a delightful twin bedroom with ensuite (shower, toilet and sink). Wardrobe and storage area. The cottage has a generous fenced garden with patio and lawn. Includes outdoor seating and barbecue plus a porch that houses a log and boot store. Direct from the door is a fantastic walk that you can take through East Stratton and Brown Candover using Northbrook Arms as your starting and end point (10.25 KM or 6.75 MILES (2.5 hrs depending on walking speed)) and then pop next door for a draught lager or a G&T. Northbrook Arms is situated 8 miles North of the historic city of Winchester and close to Portsmouth, Southampton and the south coast. There is so much to do with a range of choices of local attractions giving you plenty of things to experience and enjoy whilst you are here - wine tasting, guided cycling tour and Ice sculpting. Spend the day at Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park and Micheldever Woods. Visit King Arthur’s Round Table and Jane Austen’s House, the Gun Wharf Quays for shopping and take ferry trips to the Isle of Wight. Whether you are an adventurer, an explorer, creative, or just curious, there is something for everyone.
