The Old Bakery takes its name from the property’s historic use. Converted in 2021 to an accommodation unit with a super king-size bedroom with ensuite upstairs and an open plan living space downstairs. Perfect for couples as a romantic getaway, the Old Bakery also has the ultimate creature comfort of a small hobbit log burner housed in the original bread oven door. Ground floor open plan kitchen, living and dining area. Includes small log burner, Smart TV and sofa as well as a dining table for two. Kitchen includes a fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and washing machine. Bedroom 1 is a generous super king-size bedroom with ensuite (shower, toilet and sink). Built in wardrobe, dressing area and Smart TV. The dedicated garden area is perfect for cups of coffee at sunrise or a glass of bubbles in the evening and we often find that guests book the Old Bakery with other units when getting together in bigger groups. Direct from the door is a fantastic walk that you can take through East Stratton and Brown Candover using Northbrook Arms as your starting and end point (10.25 KM or 6.75 MILES (2.5 hrs depending on walking speed)) and then pop next door for a draught lager or a G&T. Northbrook Arms is situated 8 miles North of the historic city of Winchester and close to Portsmouth, Southampton and the south coast. There is so much to do with a range of choices of local attractions giving you plenty of things to experience and enjoy whilst you are here - wine tasting, guided cycling tour and Ice sculpting. Spend the day at Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park and Micheldever Woods. Visit King Arthur’s Round Table and Jane Austen’s House, the Gun Wharf Quays for shopping and take ferry trips to the Isle of Wight. Whether you are an adventurer, an explorer, creative, or just curious, there is something for everyone.

The site features a collection of luxury self catering cottages alongside a village pub that has a stunning glazed restaurant and private function room.
