Idyllic hideaway on the Devon/Cornwall border


Wooladon Estate covers over 400 acres of upsoilt and rolling countryside on the Devon and Cornwall border. The land is within a ringfence, it has no public right of way and abuts the county boundary, bordered by the River Tamar and River Lyd. A private drive leads to a Georgian Manor House in its own grounds with private hot tub, and five luxury converted barns, one of which has it's owns secluded garden and hot tub!

Our private estate and working farm is nestled in the Tamar Valley, enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the Devon countryside, yet only a couple of minutes from the main A30. With easy access to the beaches and tourist attractions of both counties.

Or simply laze the days away in a secluded garden overlooking the stunning countryside. Take advantage of our freshly prepared meals from 2019 Award winning Strawberry Fields Farm Shop and Restaurant either collect or have delivered to your door. Open every day. Freshly baked bread, pasties, cakes. Deli and butchery. Vegetables picked each morning from the farm. PYO strawberries and so much more.

Arrival meal service available - please ask for details on booking.

Enjoy our dog friendly woodland and riverside walks with picnic benches, or bring your bicycles and ride the estate tracks before relaxing in your own private hot tub.

Miscanthus (commonly known as Elephant Grass) is used along with wood from our own woodland to keep you warm (and provides all the hot water) during your stay as they are used to fuel our very own biomass boilers.

The Mounce Family

Wooladon Estate is owned and run by the Mounce family. Jo and Roger with their son Adam and his wife Laura. They are a local farming family who also own and run the award winning Strawberry Fields Farm Shop and Restaurant. They live in Lifton, so, they are never far away if you need anything at all, even if it’s just a recommendation for somewhere to go, they will be more than happy to help.
