Secluded barn with a view!

Gatherley View is a detached converted barn. Climb the small external stairs to a covered porch, once inside walk to the end window and take in the view! Stunning, uninterrupted vista over the fields and woodland beyond.

Once you are upstairs, the accommodation is on one level. Spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. High pitched beamed ceiling and wooden floor. Big screen TV with Freeview and DVD player.

Kitchen: Integrated electric oven with gas hob, washing machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher

One double bedroom and one twin bedroom each with en suite shower rooms and WC.

Shared communal lawn and patio area with barbecue and garden furniture

Parking

Up to 2 dogs welcome but request that they are not allowed on furniture or beds. £20 per dog.

Our private estate and working farm is nestled in the Tamar Valley, enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the Devon countryside, yet only a couple of minutes from the main A30. With easy access to the beaches and tourist attractions of both counties.

Or simply laze the days away in a secluded garden overlooking the stunning countryside. Take advantage of our freshly prepared meals from 2019 Award winning Strawberry Fields Farm Shop and Restaurant either collect or have delivered to your door. Open every day. Freshly baked bread, pasties, cakes. Deli and butchery. Vegetables picked each morning from the farm. PYO strawberries and so much more.

Arrival meal service available - please ask for details on booking.

Enjoy our dog friendly woodland and riverside walks through the estate, or bring your bicycles and ride the estate tracks. Picnic tables by lakes. Carp fishing.

Miscanthus (commonly known as Elephant Grass) is used along with wood from our own woodland to keep you warm (and provides all the hot water) during your stay as they are used to fuel our very own biomass boilers.

The Mounce Family

Wooladon Estate is owned and run by the Mounce family. Jo and Roger with their son Adam and his wife Laura. They are a local farming family who also own and run the award winning Strawberry Fields Farm Shop and Restaurant. They live in Lifton, so, they are never far away if you need anything at all, even if it’s just a recommendation for somewhere to go, they will be more than happy to help.
