All our dog-friendly properties will have their own list of doggy do’s and don’ts on their website, which will vary by property. Please check them and make sure you are happy to abide by them before you book. Not all dog-friendly properties have enclosed gardens,
but you can select "Enclosed Gardens" if you specifically need one. We have two categories of dog-friendliness:
Does exactly what it says on the tin! A charge may apply in some cottages (please check individual cottage for details). This filter will automatically include the "Dogs Welcome" cottages, which offer a higher level of service.
In these cottages, the owners go the extra mile to make sure your dog has a great holiday. These properties all provide a doggy welcome pack including poo bins, poo bags, water bowls, dog towels and sofa throws. They will also provide some extras such as dog crates blankets, kennels, holiday collar tags, toys, treats, etc. These
may vary from property to property. Charges for dogs may apply, so please check individual properties for details.
A million miles from your usual routine, but within easy reach for everyone. Cosy self-catering cottages and large country houses for family holidays. At the heart of it all, the Peak District National Park straddling Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Amid Britain's greatest natural wonders, its best loved attractions - Chatsworth, Alton Towers and Haddon Hall.
Cycle into the Peak District's stunning scenery on the Monsal Trail, into the Manifold Valley, on the Tissington Trail. Go sailing at Carsington Water, caving at Castleton, rock-climbing at The Roaches. Get walking in Dovedale, on Kinder Scout, along the Gritstone Trail and Stanage Edge, around the waters of Tittesworth, Rudyard and Ladybower, teeming with wildlife.
The National Trust manages vast swathes of the countryside as well as the historic estates of Lyme Park, Tatton Park, Sudbury Hall and Kedleston Hall. Delicious local produce - Bakewell pudding, oatcakes, cheese, real ales and spring waters - is abundant in the market towns of Leek, Bakewell, Buxton, Ashbourne and Matlock Bath, and in numerous farm shops and pretty villages. Buxton's annual music festivals and historic Opera House attract visitors from all over the world. Visit Denby Pottery and the famous Potteries outlets, right on the doorstep.
Been there, done that? How about a cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham, a penny ride round Crich Tramway Village, a visit to the Dambuster Museum, a day at Uttoxeter Races, an underground boat trip inside Speedwell Cavern?
Wrap up and enjoy live music, dancing and circus performers, face painting for little ones, as well as the traditional bonfire and a dazzling firework display. Fantastic fireworks at one of Britain's grandest estates.

is awarded to establishments that meet the requirements of independent wheelchair users or assisted wheelchair users and also fulfill more demanding requirements.

Visually impaired and blind people 1
If you have difficulty reading small print, are registered blind, have poor sight or a visual impairment, accommodation with this logo is suitable for you.
VISUAL NAS 2
Visually impaired and blind people 2
An exceptional level of facilities and services that would be suitable for anyone with a visual impairment from mild sight loss to having no sight at all.
HEARING NAS 1
Hearing impaired and deaf people 1
If you have a slight hearing difficulty, are deaf, wear a hearing aid or have a hearing impairment, look out for accommodation displaying this logo.
