Cornwall is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK – and with good reason. Whichever part of the county you’re staying in there are countless attractions to visit which will appeal to the whole family. Here we take a look at some of the best, and those that are part of the very fabric of Cornwall.
Land’s End
Land’s End offers the chance to stand at the westernmost point of England and gaze across the Atlantic Ocean at what lays beyond. As well as the spectacular scenery there is a visitor centre where you can learn more about the area.
The Lizard
The Lizard Peninsula is an equally iconic part of Cornwall’s coastline and the southernmost point of mainland Britain. The Lizard Lighthouse & Heritage Centre provides family-friendly educational fun.
Flambards, Helston
A museum and theme park rolled into one. Highlights include an authentic recreation of a Victorian village and ‘The Hornet’ rollercoaster.
The Eden Project, Bodelva
Perhaps one of the UK’s most unique visitor attractions. The Eden Project is a series of giant domed greenhouses, or ‘biomes’, which contain thousands of plant species from across the globe.
Perranporth Beach
Cornwall has dozens of world-class beaches. But Perranporth beach is particularly popular with families and surfers alike. Miles of golden sands are accompanied by plenty of amenities in the town of Perranporth.
Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre, North Petherwin
Get up close to otters, meerkats, owls, giant rabbits and more.
Tintagel Castle
According to legend Tintagel Castle was the birthplace of King Arthur. True or not, the ruined remains of the castle are an awe-inspiring sight for all ages.
Crealy Great Adventure Park, Tredinnick
A popular family theme park with many different rides to go on. The park is also home to a variety of animals, from ponies to pythons.
