British Speedway Grandprix – Millennium Stadium, Cardiff – 12th July
The Millennium Stadium is no stranger to action-packed sporting events, and the speedway grand prix is the pinnacle of motorcycle oval racing.
Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod – Llangollen – 8th -13th July

International Snowdon Race – Snowdonia – 20th July
What could be harder than walking up the tallest mountain in Wales? Running up it. This tough endurance race sees competitors race five miles up to the summit and another five miles back down Snowdon.
Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival – Cardiff Bay – 13th July
Part of the summer-spanning Cardiff Festival, this is an eclectic event for anyone passionate about food. More than 100 stalls are accompanied by a variety of music.
National Eisteddfod of Wales – Festival Fields, Llanelli – 2nd- 10th August
The place to discover more about the culture, arts and language of Wales. The festival lasts for more than a week and includes music, theatre, literature and dance.
Green Man Festival – Glanusk Estate, Brecon Beacons – 15th- 18th August
An exciting family-friendly music festival featuring hundreds of artists within a beautiful natural setting.
World Bog Snorkelling Championships – Llanwrtyd Wells – 25th August
Perhaps one of the most unusual events on the calendar, this annual event sees competitors race 120 yards through a peat bog with the aid of a snorkel and flippers.
