Scotland : A Destination Guide
Shropshire and Herefordshire : A Destination Guide
Shropshire and Herefordshire are two English counties that border the west of Wales. They are often regarded as England’s ‘quiet counties’. But they are becoming increasingly popular as holiday destinations as visitors discover there is much more to them than meets the eye.
The Norfolk Broads – Britain’s Magical Waterland
Not visiting the Norfolk Broads during a holiday in Norfolk would be like travelling to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel Tower, or going to Rome without touring the Coliseum. The iconic Norfolk Broads are located in the south of the county and are part of the wider network of rivers and lakes known as the Broads which also cross over into neighbouring Suffolk.
Things to do in the Peak District
The Peak District is the UK’s original National Park and continues to draw millions of visitors from across the globe every year. Covering an area of more than 500 square miles yet having a population of less than 40,000, it’s a place where you can escape the modern rat race for a little while. There’s much more to do than just walk up and down hills though, although that is a popular activity for many. Take a look at some of the other things to do in the Peak District.
Events and Festivals in Norfolk
From the seaside resorts of the county’s north coast to the iconic Broads, Norfolk has no shortage of attractions and places to visit. At certain times of the year though you’ll find even more to enjoy in Nelson’s County. Here’s a guide to some of the most notable events and festivals in Norfolk.
