Somerset has a rich agricultural history and throughout the centuries wealthy landowners and others have built grand homes for themselves in the countryside. Today a large number of those country homes and mansions remain standing in perfect condition and are open for public exploration. Somerset is the heart of the West Country and is famed for its countryside and agriculture produce.
