Spacious barn conversion with private hot tub

A beautiful stone-built Grade II Listed Threshing Barn conversion, with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The Threshing Barn is one of four cottages at East Trenean Farm, offering high quality comfortable accommodation, with modern facilities. The three-bedroom cottage is ideal for families and friends, with the added luxury of a private hot tub and garden. A place to relax in a ‘get away from it all’ location, yet only 3 miles from the fishing town of Looe and its beach.

Threshing Barn is a beautiful two storey cottage with original features including thick stone walls and exposed wooden beams. There are oak floors, doors and it is furnished with a mix of antique and contemporary furniture, rugs, paintings and wall art. The spacious bedrooms on the lower ground floor all have super king-size beds that can be split into two single beds. All bedrooms have doors to the furnished patio area in the courtyard garden, a perfect spot for a morning coffee! Bedroom 1 has an en suite shower room, there is a further large family bathroom with shower and bath.

The living areas on the upper ground floor enjoy views across the open countryside from the Juliet balcony and access to the private garden. The lounge is comfortably furnished with sofas and chairs and there is also a Wii game console with a selection of games. The room has a feature wood burning stove for those cosy evenings in and a dining area with table and chairs. The mezzanine has extra seating and a selection of board games, puzzles and books for you to enjoy during your stay. The modern kitchen is well equipped with an electric range oven and hob, an American style fridge freezer, dishwasher and includes the added luxury of an espresso coffee machine. The separate utility room has a handy washer/dryer and there is also a separate WC.

The glazed double doors lead out to the private enclosed garden with seating, barbecue and hot tub for 6, with lighting for the evenings. A perfect spot to relax!

Families are welcomed and the cottage is suitable for children. For those with babies and toddlers we can provide items for your stay including a travel cot, highchair and stair gates.

The paddock field has a play area for children with a range of swings including a baby seat, a ‘ship’ climbing frame with a play cabin below and a wave slide, football goals and plenty of grass to run around on or even play cricket and have a picnic! Our hens are free range and provide eggs for our welcome baskets. Our young visitors (and grown-ups) are welcome to help feed the hens each evening.

The guest car park has EV chargers and lockable storage for equipment such as bikes and kayaks.

Jane and Graham Jones

We moved to East Trenean Farm and Cornwall in 2020. After being city dwellers we decided it was time for something new! We have 2 grown children, Jane has a background in teaching and Graham in engineering. We love welcoming guests to this beautiful location at East Trenean Farm and helping them to have the best possible holiday. We live on site in the Farmhouse, so are able to welcome guests and are on hand if needed. We are loving our new rural lives, exploring and sharing information about our best discoveries, with our guests.
