A cosy retreat, just made for two

The Old Dairy is the perfect holiday cottage hideaway for a couple. The luxury cottage is quirky and owes its charm to being so unusual. Outside it is tucked neatly into a quiet corner, but once inside, like Dr Who's Tardis, it reveals far more than you would expect.

The generous and comfortable open plan living/dining area, complete with delightful original roof beams, exposed brick walls and a log burner, make this an ideal self-catering choice for a couple, a special occasion or a quiet get-away-from-it-all break. Take two steps down and you're in the excellently equipped, recently refashioned kitchen with everything needed for those who love to stay in and cook. The small but romantic bedroom tucked away upstairs is configured as twins, but can be made into a superking if requested in advance.

Enjoy the spacious walk-in shower room on the ground floor. Full laundry facilities. Outside is a neat patio area, surrounded by shrubs and flowers and nearby parking for one car.

We love The Old Dairy, and it's a favourite with very many of our visitors, both couples and single travellers.

Meet the owner

John, Angela and James Foster

Field House Farm at Heritage Escapes has been our family workplace and home now for six generations. We're glad to share our part of the countryside with you and feel sure you'll enjoy your experience of East Yorkshire. We're blessed by living in a lovely rural location, very close to the sea, and only a stone's throw from the spectacular scenery of Flamborough Head, Bempton Cliffs and Bridlington's miles of safe, sandy beaches. We live onsite, so we're around to give any help you might need or point you in the right direction to a holiday attraction or lesser known beauty spot. Our son, James joined us in 2015, with his young family and they live nearby. Fiona and her team of housekeepers couldn't be more loyal, hard-working and friendly. You'll see all of us going about our daily tasks and we're always on hand should you need us. We're still very much a working farm, now predominantly arable, with a few cows and chickens.
