Gated stairs to the mezzanine area with sofa, a perfect den for those who need their own space or for extra storage. Gated stairs down to ground floor bedrooms.
Dining: sleek, galley kitchen area with generous workspace and dining table seating six.
Sleeping bedroom one, compact room, standard double, space for a cot. French doors to large patio.
Bedroom two, compact twin room, limited space between beds for a cot if the beds are not in use, or if only one bed in use. Alternatively, the mattress can be removed and the slatted, bed base rolled up and a cot placed within the bed frame. A single sofa bed, available on open plan mezzanine floor above the living area. Suitable for an older child/adult only.
Bathing: elegant shower room, with WC, hand basin and heated towel rail. No bath in Meavy but it does have a portable baby bath. Centrally heated throughout with underfloor heating.
Outdoors: patio accessed from the double bedroom, with wooden picnic bench and lovely views over the tennis court and children's playground. Weber barbecue available for use on ground floor patio. Parking in general parking area behind the barns.
At your disposal are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tub, sauna, steam room, championship size tennis court, 14 acres of beautiful grounds, riverside walks and devon trails on your doorstep along with an array of great cafes, restaurants/pubs to eat in and relax. Dartmoor is a 30 minutes drive away with waymarked moor walks or miles of rambling for those more adventurous, and the cycle route 28 passes the properties entrance, taking you all the way to the Salcombe Estuary.
The cottage is super baby, toddler, and child-friendly with built-in stair gates, travel cots, high chairs, booster seats, baby baths, children's cutlery, food blenders and other child-friendly touches along with soft play area and playroom and an outdoor adventure playground.
There is so much to do and explore in the area, being so close to an amazingly beautiful coastline, stunning beaches and the chic waterside towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe, not to mention an abundance of attractions to suit all ages ... South Devon is the perfect destination.
For culinary explorers try the Seahorse at Dartmouth, the Elephant in Torquay, or a little further away the Michelin starred Gidleigh Park.
For walkers, you will find miles of trails and tracks on your doorstep, the beautiful South Devon Coastpath and the wilds of Dartmoor.
